Fun Visit !

This past few days I had the opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh.. see one daughter.. then travel to the DC area.. and visit another daughter.. then do WORK ! Yes I do work..now and then.

Visiting adult children is not much different than when they were ten or so. The big difference is that talk like adults.. act like adults... but their smiles are still children.. at least to me, their father. I guess no matter how old my children get, I will always picture them once in a while as children. Happy, care free and looking to me for support, security, and DINNER !

It is weird having dinner with your adult children. They order for themsleves now and they can drink. So I can now drink at dinner. Could not do that when they were little children. Had to be responsible. Not that I am NOT responsible now (HA !) but now the kids can drive me home if I get too unresponsible.

So the time spent with the daughters was too short.. the sleeping arrangements were fun. I have not slept of couches for a few years... ok days. I fall asleep on my own couch a lot. NOW.. all I have to do is count the days until all three children come to visit after Christmas... CAN NOT WAIT !!
