Today is the first of.. hopefully, a regularly posted weekly "conversation".

Today's topic - the things we do because if we did not do them, people would look at us funny (and maybe even avoid us)

For example.. I spent an hour or so ironing my shirts.. WHY ? The shirts can be worn quite easily without having all the wrinkles out. But we iron them (or have them dry cleaned) so they look better when we go out in public. This ironing episode got me thinking of all the other things I do because of what people might think..

shaving (I hate it.. but I do it);
wearing socks and shoes (imagine the looks at a big "suit" meeting if I was barefoot;
bathing (I love this activity.. nothing like a great hot shower !);
fingernail clipping (so what if they look like &^%* ); and lets NOT even get into nose hairs and ear hair. Just wait, you men out there, until you get older and you wonder.... WHERE IN THE HELL IS ALL THIS NEW HAIR COMING FROM ?
