Frustrated in Detroit !

Sometimes I think I am the only person who can see things clearly ! Why is that ? I am trying to stay optimistic about the people on this planet, and especially those in this country... but when the only people who give a damn about anything (.. granted they are directly affected by felony charges) are the illegal immigrants (and not citizens) .. it is a pretty sorry state of affairs.

As I have said in previous posts.. STAND UP.. DEMAND SOMETHING .. from the people who you have elected to run this country . THEY work for YOU !!! But the only thing that people seem to care about is the price of gasoline.. WHY ?? .. because it is the only thing that affects them directly.

What about....

• a war that nobody wants and we cannot win - do we need higher taxes and a armed services draft to wake people up. OR.. as long as it is only the volunteer army (they wanted the job) are dying.. and the reserves s(they get paid for this).. we don't complain.
• an increasing dependence on oil - do we need such high gas prices that people will demand alternative energy research.. which will create MORE jobs (but reduce oil company profits).
• continued urban sprawl - do we wait until all our urban centers are rusting hulks. We keep letting the growth run rampant.. losing orange groves in FL; wetlands in MI; paving the planet with more roads, bigger houses, larger parking lots. Maybe the higher price of gas will get people to move closer to their jobs
• business incompetence - do we wait until all american businesses are being run by total idiots ? First of all, these "business leaders" agreed to pay and benefit packages that are coming back to bite them in the ass. They are looking only at short term profits (note: GM to build more big SUV's) and then when all else fails using the bankruptcy courts to clean house.. because they are such idiots they don't know how. IF some can make it work the right way ..... American Axle
• idiot workers - do we wait until there is no more work to do in this country ? Work.. that is the word. Not take a job.. gut it out for 25 years.. get a pension at 45 .. and sit on your ass ! work for a living wage and demand that others get help and be willing to contribute to health care; the environment; education (so your kids don't do the same stoopid things you do !)

AGAIN.. I am tired.. I talk. .and talk.. and talk.. people are starting to cross the street when they see me coming... they don't want to hear it anymore. .BUT SOMEBODY better say something before it is too late.
