AHH!! VACATION...
Well.. it has been a while since I posted anything ! I wish I was as prolific a writer as my son.. but he seems to have a lot more to say.. about everything. A lot like his mother ! HA !!
Just got back from a two week vacation in the Virgin Islands.. That was nice !
It is amazing, however, that it took about 3 - 4 days to totally unwind and get into "island time" but it only took 12 hours to get sucked back into the "rat race" here in southeast Michigan. The "rat race" as they call it is really only tied to your professional life... or what you do to make the money needed to survive.. housing, food, comforts !!
IMAGINE.. a life with no rat race ! I figured it out that you can find cheap housing (but it may increase your commute to your work place); you can minimize food; and keep those comforts to a minimum.. BUT. is that LIVING !!???
Do you think the locals living in St Thomas consider themselves in a "rat race" ?
Does everyone really create their own "rat race" and that is our human nature ? HHHMMMM !!!
Anyways.. vacations are worthwhile, but they do cost money, which puts you back into the "rat race" to make the money to pay for the comforts (vacations, etc.) which point out the tremendous impact of being in the "rat race".. WHAT a vicious cycle..
Oh well... I am back.. and I am going to POST something every week or so... because I feel that anyone who reads this BLOG (especially those under 30 years of age) need to hear some form of wisdom from a person who ....
has lived for over 50 years (and hopefully learned something along the way !)..
raised in the 60's.. (not the apathetic 90's !)
lived with images of Vietnam.. (which can be seen happening again !)
listened to the lies and deceits of Republican (and some Democratic) administration... (which has NOT changed for 40 years !)
who does BELIEVE in drug legalization.. (having seen what the law can do to a person for something minor)
and who has spent time in jail for protesting something I did not believe in... (rather than assuming others will do it !)
SO HERE I GO !!!! STAY TUNED !!
