Time to Speak Up !

I know I have not blogged for a while.. since May 2008. A lot has happened... I had to go back to work - part time - because the damn economy is just getting worse.  BUT.. I think it is for the best.

The damn economy was over inflated anyways. We did not learn during the DOT COM bubble.. so we built another bubble with CHEAP cash and drove the DOW up to over 14,000 HA !! All the experts told us it could not last..  SO..we are deflating the over inflated economy.. and learning to live a more normal existence.. such as

• Producing only 12 million cars a year instead of 16 million. Where in god's name are all these cars. 
• Keeping that car for ten years instead of 2 -3 years.
• Reducing the extra workers we hired because we could afford it, even though we did NOT do any analyses to see if we NEEDED more people.
• Reducing house prices since most people are greedy and want their house.. NOT home.. to increase in value. The value is the family that is living in it !!!
• Buying food grown more locally, not from countries 5 days travel away where fruits and vegetables are picked before they are ripe.
• Lowering the labor wages for people who are overpaid on a global market place. 
• Learning to live on a livable age, not an over inflated wage. 

Maybe we will see some stability when things get deflated and everyone can start to open their eyes and see that CONSUMPTION is not a way to live.
