San Diego

After 3 1/2 days in San Diego I can see why everyone wants to live out there. Every day the weather was cloudy in the morning .. then beautiful sun in the afternoon.. and the temperature was great. Too bad there are too many people out there already ! We did the obligatory tourist stuff.. went to the zoo; saw the Midway aircraft carrier; hiked up Cowles Mountain (1592 feet); sat by the pool; and ate a LOT !

It was very nice, especially since the oldest sub-unit drove us all around and was a very good tour guide. He even got up early (8:30 am) a couple of days... impressive !!

One note - too bad there are so many people out in San Diego already. It is getting crowded and the local area is NOT conducive to tons of people. The water supplies are not natural and the waste disposal is too much for the environment to handle. BUT... other than that ... I could live there , maybe in Pacific Beach... with all the other weirdos !!
