Well.. it has been a month since I quit the firm I worked for .. for 27years... and started to work for myself. Boy, that steady paycheck sure was nice !!

I spend a lot of time reminding people WHO I AM !! Boy.. that old adage in business .. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY ? ... sure is true. If you don't spend the face time. .you don't get the work time. I guess I can keep spending all my time at yoga classess.. nonprofit organizations.. religious groups.. but that does NOT put money in the bank. So now.. I spend time letting people know that I still exist. I have NOT dropped off the face of the earth.. and I am ready, willing and able to help them solve their problems.

Work.. why do we need it ? Would it not be nice that people decided what function they wanted to accomplish for society as a whole..and then just do it. All other things come their way. For example, if I wanted to fix computers .. I woud do that.. people would bring me their computers to fix for no pay. BUT..then I would automatically get a place to live.. food to eat. .and all the "holodeck" time I wanted for recreation. That is how Star Trek works !! OR.. is that communism !!
