The summer is over but today was an absolutely gorgeous day.. low humidity and temps around 80 degree F. I am still not working very much. That is good.. but that can be bad.. if the work load does not increase over the next few weeks / months I will definitely will begin to fall into the category of ... bum.. slob.. leech.. any other key words? So what do I do with my time ?

I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to stop the current administration from doing further damage to education, the environment, the economy, the energy nigtmare, and the troops overseas. No matter how mad I get (which is every day as I read all this BS) I can NOT seem to find that single point of focus for my energy. Most Americans are more worried about their current state of affairs, that they dont' see any solution to the bigger picture.... nor do I !

So.. we watch as the political system shows us just how STOOPID they can be (in California).. and we watch as the Democrats try to find a worthy Presidential candidate.. and I ponder.. THE SOLUTION IS REALLY SO SIMPLE !

IF I WERE KING... I would establish a system in which everyone pays a simple 10% flat rate tax including big business on ALL income. With this flat income tax... I would then provide incentives for people and companies that invest in energy research and use alternative energy sources; incentives for companies that comply (and go over and above) with environmental pollution controls (.. become a "clean business"); and incentives for people and companies that provide finanical or volunteer support to the schools in their neighborhoods.

But alas.. I am not king.. just a lowly maggot ! SO.. I watch..I wait.. I get angry !!
