Another College Graduation

A couple of weeks ago, the youngest of the Bristol children graduated from college. I always like going to college graduations - the guest speakers are interesting; the noisy families during the ceremonies; and the sigh of relief from some parents and grandparents that the kid made it !!

I don't know if this is true.. but I suspect that my three children felt that it was expected that they go to college.. eventually. They know that I would support some time off BUT.. eventually they had to go to college and graduate. I don't think I belabored the point though. It was just expected.

Then at the graduations you see families that are just SO happy that their graduate made it through.. or that they are the first one to go to college. It is kind of neat.

Now.. the three Bristol children are either a graduate from a post-grad school (law).. or going to graduate school (clinical psych) or will be going to graduate school (law). Now this was not expected. It is nice to see and I am very proud. BUT.. it was not expected even though all of their parental units have advanced degrees !! So just to keep up with their elders, they needed advanced degrees.

Good luck my daughters in your graduate endeavors.. and to my son who has graduated law school last year.. I am so very, very proud. Keep up the good work.
