30000 Bees

Did you ever have the opportunity to drive in a car for over 6 hours with 30,000 bees ?

Friday, I drove a friend from Detroit to Clarkson, KY (SW of Louisville) to pick up five swarms of bees for the expansion of the apiary working with the EarthWorks Graden. It was a great time.. the country side was beautiful.. and the bees were eager to get to their new hives and start doing what bees do best. WORK !! It is amazing that these creatures live and work for about 5 weeks; build a community; produce honey for the new baby bees and royal jelly for their queen; and live their lives for the whole of the community.

What a concept !! Of course, humans come along and steal some of the honey which puts the bees into overdirve to produce more.

SO..

keep working; provide for your community; and hope some big tyrannical alien being does not come along and take your honey !!

Later Dudes and Dudettes !!
