I must be getting old !

As a young man, I watched my grandfather get ornery as he got older, especially about all the attention and hoopla given to the insignificant things going on in Hollywood. I sometimes wonder if my father would have gotten so ornery, also, had he lived past 49 years.

Guess what ? I am getting old.. and turning into my grandfather. I watch all the attention being made for the Acadamy Awards coming this Sunday evening, and all I can do is shudder. ALL I see is wasted money.. money that could be used in schools, for the environemnt, providing food, and doing Katrina cleanup, etc.

What has happended to me ? Are not these vaporous topics of interest to me anymore ? Can I not appreciate a healthy spending of money on red carpet ?
Is this what getting older is all about ? You dont appreciate those little things in life anymore !! aarrgghh !!

Oh well, the sun will come up tomorrow and if it does not, who cares !!!
